Here We Go!

So at last and some would say – about bloody time. We’re heading into the studio to record new Salamander music.

We of course have already recorded in the past (check out our Spotify) but really those demos have all been about getting gigs and giving people a taste of what we sound like. But we have always chased the idea of recording our sounds as ‘live’ as possible. We all feel people can get a better Salamander experience when they listen to us live, rather than from the quick recording studios in the past. 

I have personally been on a quest over the past year or so to find a recording studio that can firstly record us as live as possible, but also an engineer who has that creative bounce and can tune into what sound we would love to capture. And I’m pleased to say we have found that place, that person to join us on our recording journey. 

What Studios, based in a stunning neo-classical church right in the centre of Liverpool is the creation of Stephen Cole. He has received multiple longlist nominations from the Music Producers Guild,  including Mix Engineer of the Year and Breakthrough Producer of the Year categories. His own group, a.P.A.t.T., has been described as “genre-defying” and “deliriously inventive”, reflecting an ethos that continues to inform his work as a Producer.

We can’t wait to start working with Stephen on our new tracks. We are due to head in to the studio in October, so keep your eyes out for our new tracks which we will upload to all of our socials and Spotify.
